Dock Anchoring Made Easy
To determine the anchor system needed for their design, installers must know the type of waterscape, how protected the area is, and the water depth before selecting an anchoring system. Consult with a local dealer to determine options for anchoring if needed.
The following anchoring methods with descriptions are listed below:
- Pipe Anchoring: Commonly used in residential or small-scale commercial waterfronts up to eighteen feet. Allows horizontal movement is an added benefit for waters that fluctuate during seasons.
- Hinge Kit Anchoring: Hinge kit anchoring securely connects a PWC lift to a floating dock, allowing for stable attachment while accommodating movement and fluctuations in water levels.
- Stand Off Anchoring: Standoff anchoring creates a secure connection between a fixed dock and galvanized pipe, providing stable anchoring for a floating PWC lift while maintaining proper spacing and alignment.
Pipe Anchoring
Pipe anchoring is a widely-used method for securing residential and commercial installations. Snap Dock offers a variety of pipe anchoring brackets that integrate seamlessly with our modular floating dock system. Our range includes:
- Low Profile Pipe Bracket (SKU: LOW-BRKT-GR-ASSY)
- Light Duty Pipe Bracket (SKU: LTD-BRKT-GR-ASSY)
- Standard Duty Pipe Bracket (SKU: STD-BRKT-GR-ASSY)
Each bracket is designed to be installed with our patented coupler system, ensuring a secure connection. Hinge Kit Anchoring
The hinge kit anchoring is designed for attaching the Snap Port Lineup to existing floating docks. This three-part system includes a mounting plate, a pin bolt, and a “J” hook plate, and is available in the following options to suit both fresh and saltwater environments:
- Galvanized Hinge Kit (SKU: HINGE-KIT-GALV)
- Stainless Steel Hinge Kit (SKU: HINGE-KIT-SS)
- Small Galvanized Hinge Kit (SKU: HINGE-KIT-GALV-S)
- Extended Galvanized Hinge Kit (SKU: HINGE-KIT-GALV-XL)
Each hinge kit is sold in sets of two, and two male half couplers (SKU: HALFCPLR-GR-ASSY) are required for installation, which are sold separately.
Stand Off Anchoring
The “Z” Pipe Stand Off Bracket (SKU: SO Z BRKT) offers a robust fixed anchor solution, designed for securing pwc lifts to existing platforms. This bracket stabilizes the vertical positioning of metal pipes, effectively mitigating horizontal movement caused by varying water conditions.
When tethered with other pipe anchor applications, such as a pipe anchoring or stand alone applications, the “Z” Pipe Stand Off Bracket ensures the vertical reinforcement needed to accommodate fluctuating water levels throughout the season. Whether used in a stand-alone setup or integrated with other anchoring components, this solution provides the stability essential for maintaining the integrity of the dock or PWC port.
